Welcome to Prairie Flower Market's 2026 Season!

We are beyond excited to welcome you to Prairie Flower Market's 2026 season! Get ready to immerse yourself in the true experience of local flowers, with markets spanning from May to September. Just as the seasons and months change, so do our offerings of locally grown, specialty flowers. Each month brings a unique selection of blooms and greenery, cultivated with passion and care by our local farmers.

May 10: Hope and a Seedling
June 20: Peony Extravaganza
July 26: Mid-Summer Night's Bloom
August 23: Canadian Flower's Week
September 20: A Beautiful Farewell

May will bring you seeds, tubers, seedlings, and so much more to get you started growing your own specialty flowers.

June is full of peonies, ranunculus, and anemones. You'll be captivated by the delicate petals of these early summer favorites.

Join the Prairie Flower's Market Canadian Flower's Week Celebration. "For one week, the flower industry will unite to celebrate and show off its bountiful beauty."

The season ends with September, adding showstopping lisianthus, specialty pumpkins, and (fingers crossed!) late dahlias.

July brings the height of summer florals with otherworldly bearded irises, sunflowers, lilies, and zinnias taking center stage. Our late July date has us hoping for some early dahlias!

Thanks to your amazing support during our first full season of markets in 2025. Last year our market grew throughout the season from a small group of flower farms and complementary vendors to an overflowing market space filled with joy and locally grown/created goods. From May to September, our market grew in both size and connection. Showing up each month, the growers and artisans became friends, and our returning customers made this little market a family.

In a time where the world feels overwhelmingly heartbreaking and divided, these few market hours each month have offered a welcome pause, a chance to share beauty, creativity, and genuine human connection. Our market is successful because of deep rooted belief in collaboration over competition. Your support for the small local businesses who make up the Prairie Flower Market allows all of us to gather for these special prairie evenings filled with quality goods and good people. You'll often hear us say "a rising tide lifts all boats," and we hope you also feel a little more buoyant after attending one of our events.

Sincerely,

Your Local Flower Farmers

Our Story

About Prairie Flower Market

Founded by Allison Lapointe-Lacelle of Songbird Flower Farm, the Prairie Flower Market was created to celebrate the beauty, diversity, and seasonality of locally grown flowers, and to connect the people who grow them with the people who love them.

After testing the waters with two highly successful "pop up" markets in2024, The Prairie Flower Market saw its first full season of markets in 2025. By the end of the season, our market space was filled to capacity, and we're excited to continue that momentum in 2026 as we expand outdoors and introduce additional services and surprises! As a flower‑focused local farmers’ market, we offer a unique opportunity to meet your local flower farmers, artists, and artisans; learn more about their work; and experience the magic of fresh, seasonal blooms grown right here on the prairies.

The Prairie Flower Market grew out of the friendships, mutual support, and shared passion among local cut flower growers. What began as farmers leaning on one another for advice, spare blooms, or an extra set of hands has blossomed into a broader community, one that includes florists who value fresh, local flowers and customers who appreciate the unique joy of giving and receiving blooms that reflect the rhythm of the seasons.

Our vision is simple: to create a space where people can gather, connect with flower growers and artisans in their area, and discover the beauty of flowers grown close to home. We invite you to join us as we grow, and to celebrate with us all that local flowers have to offer.

Our Vendors

Many people are surprised to learn that, despite long, cold winters and a short growing season, the prairie provinces of Canada are home to a vibrant and thriving community of flower farms. Each farm is as unique as the grower behind it, with its own approach to cultivation, bouquet design, and specialty crops.

At Prairie Flower Market, every vendor grows their flowers right here on the Prairies of Saskatchewan. These are not imported blooms. they are seasonal, locally and ethically grown flowers, nurtured by passionate farmers who pour their heart, grit, and creativity into every stem.

We invite you to come meet these incredible growers, hear their stories, and support the work they do to bring beauty, sustainability, and connection to our communities... one bouquet at a time.

In addition to our flower growers, we’re proud to showcase a select few artist and artisan vendors to the market: thoughtful makers who create beautiful, meaningful goods and share our values of community, creativity, and quality. They’re talented, kind-hearted people, and we know you’ll love what they bring to the market.
