LOCALLY GROWN, FRESHLY HARVESTED

September Pop up Event!

You asked, and we listened. Join us for our second pop up market on September 21. One of the great joys of local flowers is watching the bouquets change with the season. August brought you lilies, zinnias, and bouncy summer blooms, but with the cool June, the dahlias and lisianthus didn't have their moment to shine. Come join us September 21 to experience these special flowers, as well as specialty pumpkins, dried flowers, sunflowers and so much more. You can look forward to an autumn photo installation complete with strawbales and local flowers. designed by our flower vendors.

Now for the big announcement, we are thrilled to be partnering with Chubbs Cheeseburgers and The Better Brother Brewing Company to offer a complete evening experience. Chubbs is a local pop-up food vendor that has perfected the cheeseburger and is quickly gathering a cult-like following. The Better Brother Brewing Company will be featuring their craft root beer (non-alcoholic) made in house with organic sugar and honey from Hannigan Honey in Shellbrook alongside their craft beers.

Our Story

We are excited to introduce the Prairie Flower Market. On August 10, 2024, we will celebrate with a pop up market to meet a few of your local flower farmers and give you a taste of what to expect for the 2025 season. The Prairie Flower Market is a farmer's market created to showcasing the beauty of local flowers and the dedicated growers who cultivate this special product. While our debut season will begin June 2025, we invite you to attend our intimate pop up market this August to meet a few of your local flower farmers and start following along to learn about what makes local flowers truly special.

For many years, local growers of cut flowers have supported each other in this, often lonely, venture. We have leaned on each other for advice, extra flowers, and even a helping hand. We have also received incredible support from local florists who appreciate the freshness and quality of local blooms and purchase our flowers for their shops. Gifting flowers, to ourselves or others) is always a special treat and is made even sweeter when arranged with local flowers.

We created the Prairie Flower Market with a simple vision: to host a community where people can come together to get to know the flower farmers in their area and experience the beauty of local blooms.

Our Vendors

Many people are unaware that despite our long cold winters and short growing season, the prairie provinces of Canada are home to a thriving industry of local flower farms. Each farm is unique in its growing style, bouquet arrangements, and specialized crops. Get to know the growers that have (literally) poured their blood, sweat, tears, and heart into providing you with these special flowers.

All vendors at the Prairie Flower Market grow the product you see right here, on the Prairies of Saskatchewan. We hope you will join us to meet these special humans and support their hard work in providing you with locally and ethically grown flowers and arrangements.
